taking a summer halter dress out for one last spin before packing it away for the winter

I'm a big fan of using turtlenecks an other shirts to make summer dresses winter and work appropriate. Dress from Nordstrom, Grandma's gold leaf necklace, Chinese Laundry black boots.

I have committed a crime of fashion. Totally heart heels but I work in a lab--not supposed to wear any skinny heels, open toe sandals...this summer has been so hard with the awesome pedis I've gotten--so today I got those black clunky heel boots that were the shizzle in the 90s just to wear heels!!

Thanks! I'm sad that summer dress season is fading so I'm deciding to carry them (the more neutral tones anyway) into fall with boots and long cardigan sweaters.
